Accountant (Business Intelligence Analyst)

JOB SUMMARY

1. Budget and Budgetary Control

• Work closely with the Manager to establish systems and processes to enable timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts and budget information.
• Assist in annual budget setting process, provide ongoing support and direction for the budget holders as well as investigating and reporting on variances.

2. Financial Operations

• Administer financial operations, i.e. accounts payables, accounts receivables, bank reconciliation, cash flow updates, month-end and year-end closing process, year-end audit or ad-hoc audit, tax planning and other financial functions, such as tender evaluation, etc.

3. Business Intelligence (BI)

• Undertake BI and data driven solutions, such as business analysis, simulation, data mining, data visualization, sustainable business model or infrastructure and best practices for more data-driven decisions and support strategy planning.
• Costing – work closely with Management Units for data collation and ensure that all project, courses or activities costings are financially feasible and accurate.

4. Virtualising Finance Operations

• To assist in digitalising the finance operations

5. Financial Planning

• Implement financial strategies and goals in line with the Campus Plan.
• Provide Continuous Process Improvement – Identifying the development needs and scrutinizing workflow, policies & regulations and systems to streamline and improve the processes and operations.
• Manage FBA Unit Strategic Plans and perform Risk Management
• Ensure financial and legal compliances at all times according to relevant statutory and regulations

6. Customer Service

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and implement high quality processes that document, assess, improve and deliver favorable service performances.
• Work effectively in cross-functional projects and teams.

7. Finance Resources

• Provide accurate periodical financial and performance reports including key financial indicators

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting or a related business discipline from a recognized institution.
• Holds a professional qualification such as ACCA, MIA, MICPA, or CIMA.
• An additional Bachelor's degree in a computing-related field is considered an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial or audit setting with one (1) year supervisory role.
• Proficient in using business intelligence or technology tools such as Power BI, Tableau, UIPath, Python, etc.
• Strong background in business analysis, budgeting and budgetary control, forecasting, internal controls, process improvement, and risk management.
• Good report writing skills and able to operate other software application including Enterprise Resource Solutions and Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
