This position is responsible for promoting quality nursing care in the clinical area by teaching all aspects of nursing education. The incumbent also will be responsible and accountable for the implementation of the Diploma in Nursing and Post Basic programmed in order to produce registered nurses.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and coordinate learning experiences of students to ensure their learning objectives are met.
- Develop, analyze, implement and evaluate nursing programmes that are conducted in the College of Nursing.
- Collaborate with the nursing team from the clinical division in coordinating the Diploma in Nursing and Post Basic programmes.
- Act as a clinical expert in the education and nursing programme development of the healthcare team.
- Conduct classroom teachings in accordance of the curriculum and best practices in nursing outcomes.
- Make timely and necessary preparations for students' assessment, examination and evaluation in both theory and practical.
- Participate in events and meetings pertaining to nursing education in Nursing Board, MOHE, MQA and other external agencies.
Qualifications
- Basic Degree in Nursing or nursing related degree upon approval by the Nursing Board Malaysia.
- Post Basic certification in any field.
- Certificate in teaching or have done a module in teaching methodology from an accredited university/institution as approved by the Nursing Board Malaysia.
- Relevant qualification or experience in a nursing specialty in accordance with the subjects taught.
- Minimum 5 year working experience.
