Job Summary
Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventive servicing of equipment and facilities in myNEWS stores. Ensures equipment runs smoothly and supports operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions and faults in electrical wiring, circuits, and machinery.
- Manage tools, spare parts, and maintenance inventory.
- Respond to breakdowns or maintenance requests from store outlets.
- Perform preventive maintenance for all the pipings and grease trap in store outlets.
- Support store renovations or new openings if is needed.
- Perform emergency repairs (e.g., power failures, leaks)
- Maintain accurate service logs and records of all work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while performing tasks.
Required Skills
- May require work during weekends or after hours for urgent issues.
- Basic electrical, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Problem-solving, independence, time management, basic reporting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel between store locations.
Qualifications:
- SPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (B2 or D) and reliable transportation for fieldwork.
- Holding a valid GDL license will be an added advantage.
