JOB PURPOSE
The Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations of the security control room. Reporting to the Executive, Security, this role ensures effective monitoring, coordination, and timely response to all security-related events through surveillance systems and communication channels. The Supervisor leads a team of Control Room Operators and is responsible for system integrity, incident escalation, shift management, and operational reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Control Room Supervision
- Lead and supervise Control Room Operators across all shifts.
- Ensure 24/7 coverage and smooth operation of all surveillance, alarm, and access control systems.
- Delegate monitoring responsibilities and maintain operator discipline and efficiency.
System Monitoring & Surveillance
- Oversee real-time monitoring of CCTV, alarms, and access points.
- Ensure immediate escalation and coordination during suspicious activity or breaches.
- Confirm all security systems are fully functional and report technical faults promptly.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Lead control room responses to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
- Guide operators on escalation protocols and communication procedures.
- Review and approve all occurrence logs and incident reports submitted by the team.
Team Coordination & Training
- Brief and debrief Control Room Operators before and after shifts.
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure operator competency.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage operator scheduling, including replacements during absences.
Compliance & Record Management
- Ensure strict adherence to security SOPs, data confidentiality, and monitoring protocols.
- Maintain organized logs of daily operations, system checks, and reported incidents.
- Support audits and internal reviews related to security operations.
Liaison & Communication
- Serve as the main communication bridge between control room personnel, security officers on the ground, and management.
- Relay real-time updates during incidents to the Executive, Security and other relevant departments.
KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum SPM;
- Have Diploma in Security Management or related discipline is preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in security operations or control room monitoring, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of CCTV systems, alarms, and access control technologies.
- Excellent leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and critical thinking under pressure.
- Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Experience in emergency response, incident documentation, and reporting.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
