Job Overview
The Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining the organization, safety, and accuracy of stock within a warehouse or storage facility. He plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials, tools, and inventory needed for day-to-day operations. The role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and stock.
- Update inventory records manually or using warehouse software systems.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the purchasing department when items are low.
- Ensure items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Label products clearly and categorize them for easy retrieval.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the storage area.
- Prepare and issue materials based on approved requisitions.
- Pack and label items for internal or external dispatch.
- Ensure the right quantity and type of items are delivered.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to the supervisor or relevant department.
- Maintain accurate records of goods received and issued.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed, signed, and filed appropriately.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure that flammable, perishable, or fragile items are stored appropriately.
- Report any safety hazards or damaged goods immediately.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics departments.
- Assist in unloading/loading deliveries and restocking shelves or bins.
- Support inventory checks during audits or year-end closings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
