Experienced IT Project Consultant specializing in the delivery of SAP ECC6 and finance-related projects across APAC, ensuring alignment with business requirements and stakeholder expectations. Proficient in project planning, functional analysis, and cross-functional coordination to drive successful implementations and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate IT-related projects for Group and APAC branches, as assigned.
- Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements, define project scope, and build consensus through the creation of a comprehensive Project Management Plan.
- Drive analysis and scoping of data sourcing and functional enhancements, including application design and functional specifications, ensuring alignment and agreement with stakeholders.
- Secure stakeholder commitments for project planning and manage change control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and activity lists, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Communicate key project milestones, plans, and changes—including requirements, QA plans, schedules, and scope adjustments—to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users and vendors, ensuring proper test environments and support are in place.
- Prepare deployment documentation, including Run Books, Implementation Plans, Release Checklists, and UAT results.
- Provide clear and timely communication of project details and schedules to business units.
- Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities, ensuring successful execution of deployment plans and checklists.
- Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed user expectations and business objectives.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify and resolve issues arising from project deployment.
- Manage risks and resolve production incidents related to assigned projects.
- Foster collaboration across teams, coordinating efforts between business users, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Understand and manage the impact of code merges, conflicting project needs, change requests, and production fixes.
- Supervise developer activities, ensuring adherence to quality coding standards and development processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve team processes and project delivery effectiveness.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years project management experience; strong lifecycle, methodologies & best practices knowledge.
- 6+ years functional support in SAP FICO & HANA
- Preferred knowledge: MM, Workflow, RE-FX, AA.
- Familiar with SAP ABAP, Control-M, JIRA.
- Advantage: SAP Basis, Oracle databases.
- Formal project management training preferred.
- Proven leadership, analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; expert Excel, working knowledge MS Access.
- Experience in Financial Accounting & Procurement (IT capacity) preferred.
- Strong in requirement analysis & functional design (SAP ECC6).
- Self-motivated, quick learner, adaptable.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence & collaborate across teams without authority.
- Skilled in building & maintaining productive global team relationships.

Pay: RM96,000.00 - RM174,000.00 per year
