The Area Sales Manager is responsible to plan execute and coordinate the sales and marketing activities across all channels in their assigned territory and achieve the desired objectives. The manager will be supported by the other key members of the Commercial Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Guide, motivate and monitor team's performance in achieving individual targets.
- Team management (i.e. recruitment, orientation, appraisals) that will contribute towards the overall professional development of the sales team.
- Work and communicate closely with direct reports and laboratory operations manager.
- Coordinate and manage phlebotomy staff (where applicable) during execution of campaigns.
- Coordinate and manage courier logistics staff (where applicable) to ensure reduction of pre-analytical error.
- Achieve own individual sales and collection targets for assigned customers (where applicable).
- Develop and implement area-based strategies to cater to current customers (e.g. setting up collection branches).
- Protect and maintain current customer base by ensuring consistent customer satisfaction.
- Seek opportunities to increase sales through various channels and pipeline customers in the area.
- Provide market information i.e. competitors’ activities, customer feedback etc.
Key requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in any field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or customer service. A proven track record as a Key Account Executive/Manager is highly advantageous. Any prior working experience in healthcare/dealing with doctors is a plus.
- Must be able to travel frequently within the state you’re based in (Perak) i.e. possess your own vehicle and a valid license.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with doctors, hospital, laboratory professionals.
- Driven by sales targets and passionate to deliver solutions based on customer needs.
