The Sales Manager leads the sales team to achieve company sales targets. This role involves planning sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth sales operations.

Job Scope:
- To oversee and manage the Sales Department, with responsibilities in Business Development and Customer Care.
- To secure new customers, service existing customers, attend to customer requests, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- To prepare quotations for air freight, sea freight, trucking, warehousing, etc., according to customer requirements.
- To request and negotiate rates from airlines, shipping lines, co-loaders, and NVOCCs.
- To send sales leads to overseas group offices and agents to generate additional business opportunities overseas.
- To secure routing orders for imports and prepare shipping instructions for all nominated inbound shipments (both air and sea).
- To meet and achieve monthly and yearly targets. Also, to prepare daily sales appointment reports and sales reports, write profiles of every new prospective customer visited, and submit the sales report weekly to the Branch Manager, Marketing Director, or Managing Director.
- To submit a Bad Debtors Report to the Branch Manager at the end of each month.
- To closely follow up on and secure debtor payments, and to submit credit applications to the Branch Manager for each new client requesting credit terms.
- To coordinate and provide seamless information feedback to/from the Customer Service and Operations staff regarding any special arrangements requested by or offered to customers, to ensure smooth and excellent service.
- To assist the Branch Manager in achieving the company’s goals and objectives.
Requirement:
- Diploma / Degree holders in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Administration, or Transport with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the forwarding industry.
- Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must possess own transport with a valid license and be able and willing to travel extensively.
