About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverages Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Restaurant Supervisor is responsible to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and motivate our colleagues to ensure excellent customer service. The Restaurant Supervisor reports to the Restaurant Manager.
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure that all menus, and drinks lists given to guests are in perfect condition
- Conduct training for colleagues as well as implement regular training programmes
- Recommend colleagues movements and promotions to the Restaurant Manager
- Attend to guest requests and complaints, efficiently and courteously
- Ensure that the standards of Food and Beverage service are maintained
- Monitor and supervise small VIP functions not handled by the Banquet Department
- Ensure that all colleagues are familiar with the contents of all menus, and the composition of each item
- To check reservation at the beginning of each service and ensure station is set up completely and on time according to the reservation

- Knowledgeable about handling guest/ colleague complaints and dealing with guests
- Attentive and able to anticipate to what guests needs
- Able to work under minimal supervision
