Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Research Assistant to join our dynamic team for an exciting project exploring MXene-based electrochemical catalysts for energy research in oxygen reduction reactions (ORR) and hydrogen evolution reactions (HER). Eligibility Criteria:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Material Science, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior research experience in MXenes during their postgraduate studies.
- Publication Requirements:
- MSc graduates: At least 1 WOS-indexed paper (2021–present).
- PhD graduates: At least 2 WOS-indexed papers (2021–present).
- Expertise:
- Strong background in electrochemistry, energy applications, and material characterization.

- Salary:
- RM 2,200 (Bachelor’s Degree)
- RM 2,600 (Master’s Degree)
- RM 3,300 (PhD Degree)
- Performance-based reviews every 3–6 months with potential increments.

- 12 months, renewable based on performance.

Performance Targets:
- Conduct advanced electrochemical research and upscaling process focusing on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Publish at least one Q1-ranked journal article within 12 months.
- Prepare detailed quarterly project reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out independent research aligned with project objectives.
- Develop, test, and optimize MXene-based microbial electrochemical technologies for ORR and HER applications.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.
- Assist the supervisor in project-related activities, including R&D and stakeholder engagements.

The research focuses on developing innovative MXene electrochemical systems for clean energy recovery and enhancing treatment processes for environmental sustainability. This project aims to push the boundaries of materials science, bridging advanced technology with real-world applications.
