RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engages with functional support organizations such as Supplier Quality, Finance, IT, to drive initiatives and to align policies and procedures.
- Participate in project budget and schedule discussions with New Product teams to support the team goal and align with realistic expectations of supply base.
- Identify, select, and steward preferred suppliers for the regional procurement teams / business partners.
- Interface with business owner leaders and associated stakeholders to support their strategic objectives to identify and prioritize cost-savings and efficiency opportunities, in particular the functions.
- Respond to and address supplier service and / or quality issues to mitigate negative impact on the company.
- Establish Category Management reviews with the Global Category Leads.
- Monitor and improve existing prices and service levels.
- Identify and drive process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Conduct Requests for Quotes (Tenders)
- Lead the Category Management team to deliver a series of benefit types, such as price reduction, rebate, cost avoidance, and value add.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical / Electrical Engineer with an additional qualification in Supply Chain Management / APICS / CIPS desirable
- Extensive Experience in Negotiation Management & Supplier Management.
- Operational Supply Chain experience in early career with exposure to Buying / Imports / Logistics
- Legal knowledge in Strategic Sourcing / Vendor Development / Contract Writing.
- Green Field Projects - Ideally manufacturing environment.
- Project Management.
- Exposure to Global suppliers / and working in a Global networked supply chain is a must.
- Focused on serving Global Market.
- A strong acumen for Quality concepts and direct exposure to it
- A strong understanding of MRP / ASCP tools and is good with planning processes.
- Strong costing fundamentals and acumen / with ability to work with Finance and have strong concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages are a plus.
- Good communicator, confident in interacting with all levels of individuals across a variety of internal/external functions.
- Analytical, negotiations and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced experience with ERP financial applications (Oracle preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Strong, proven business partnering mentality; has the maturity and awareness to strike the right balance between facilitating and challenging the business.
- Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Can adapt to change and navigate uncertainty.
- Ability to effectively manage time and resources against agreed deadlines for activities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ethical decision-making and integrity.
