- Operating machinery to capture the necessary images of a patient's important internal body systems
- Communicating with patients about the procedure
- Helping patients and their family feel at ease with the procedure
- Interpreting a doctor's orders
- Deciding which radiography method is best for what the doctor requires
- Positioning the machinery and patient so the images they capture are accurate, high-quality and complete, decreasing the likelihood of a misdiagnosis
- Sending images and associate results of procedures to the designated medical team
- Completing screening for any abnormalities
- Assisting with surgical procedures
- Cleaning machinery and properly sanitizing their work area
- Handling FOMEMA patients calmly
