As a Quality Control Assistant in the production department of a bakery factory, your responsibilities would revolve around ensuring that all baked goods meet the required standards of quality, safety, and consistency. Here's an outline of what your role might entail:
- Inspecting Raw Materials: Check incoming ingredients such as flour, sugar, yeast, etc., for freshness, quality, and adherence to specifications. Any deviations should be reported to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitoring Production Processes: Regularly observe the production line to ensure that proper procedures are being followed. This includes verifying correct mixing, baking, and packaging techniques.
- Quality Testing: Conduct quality tests on finished products to assess attributes such as taste, texture, appearance, and shelf-life. Use tools such as pH meters, moisture analyzers, and sensory evaluation techniques.
- Recording Data: Maintain detailed records of quality control checks, including batch numbers, test results, and any corrective actions taken. This documentation is crucial for tracking product consistency and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Identifying Defects: Quickly identify any defects or abnormalities in products and determine their root causes. Work closely with production staff to implement corrective measures and prevent future occurrences.
- Ensuring Compliance: Familiarize yourself with relevant food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HALAL guidelines, GMP, HACCP principles) and ensure that the bakery's operations comply with these requirements.
- Communicating with Management: Provide regular updates to management regarding quality control performance, highlighting areas of improvement and suggesting solutions for enhancing overall product quality.
- Training and Education: Offer training sessions for production staff on quality control procedures, hygiene practices, and food safety protocols. Continuous education is key to maintaining high standards in a bakery environment.
- Collaborating with Suppliers: Develop strong relationships with ingredient suppliers and communicate any quality issues or concerns promptly. Collaborate on solutions to ensure consistent ingredient quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as process optimization projects or new product development efforts. Strive for ongoing refinement of production processes to enhance efficiency and product excellence.
JOB REQUIREMENT
