Job Description
The Quality Analyst is responsible to perform quality checks on received goods and produced goods to enable the delivery of products that meet the required specifications. Provides input to warehouse team which received goods are to be released for production and which are to be returned to supplier. Provides input to warehouse team which produced goods are to be released for customer shipment and which are to be blocked for rework / scrap. Provides guidelines to production team on how to rework product that does not meet the required specifications.
Responsibilities/ Key Activities:
- Making sure the ingredients used is on-going maintained Halal status by maintaining valid Halal certificates from suppliers.
- Uphold plant Halal practices.
- Conduct periodic Halal Committee meeting.
- Conduct periodic Halal checks at the shopfloor and related facilities.
- Connect with Jabatan Agama Islam for Halal renewal and consultation matters.
- Make timely Halal certificate renewal.
- Maintain and implement HAS Manual requirement for Johor MU.
- Support NPD and substitution ingredients Halal certificate applications
- Support any Halal requirement by customer.
- Involve new product regulatory and existing ingredients, semi FG and FG specification compliance check on periodic basis
- Audits quality checks which are performed by Production.
Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:
- Academic Program: University Degree (Bachelors) or higher in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry (or related field).
- Experienced: At least 2 years in professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Skillset:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of quality and food safety standards and practices (ISO/ FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP, GMP)
- Knowledge in statistical applications Ability to problem solve with high accuracy and decision quality
- Service-oriented, discreet with sensitive information, and proactive in problem-solving
- Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
