1.0 Job Responsibilities
- Supervise SMT QA/QC inspectors, assign daily tasks, and monitor their performance
- Ensure compliance with SMT QA procedures, standards, and documentation in compliance with ISO, IPC, and other applicable standards
- Conduct quality audits and inspections on SMT lines, including First Article, in-process, and final inspections
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and NPI teams to support new product introductions
- Train and develop QA/QC staff in inspection techniques, IPC standards, and quality tools
- Support customer audits
- Prepare quality reports, yield analyses, and metrics
2.0 Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school, vocational school, or higher qualification
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in SMT quality control
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (for medical), or IATF 16949 (for automotive) is preferred
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (e.g., SPI, AOI, reflow ovens), and soldering standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
- Understand quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis, FMEA, and 8D reports
- Experienced in using inspection tools and measurement equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and PCBA specifications
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and disciplined, with good leadership, teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willing to work in shifts and perform overtime when required
Language:
- Proficiency in English and local language (as needed)
