Job Purpose
The Programme Manager & Lecturer is responsible for the effective planning, administration, and academic delivery of the following postgraduate and professional programmes:
- Master of Laws (LL.M)
- Master of Corporate Law and Governance
- Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP)
Key Responsibilities & accountabilities
Academic Programme Management
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day academic delivery of the assigned
programmes and to effectively support academic delivery and smooth conduct of classes.
- Plan and prepare academic schedules.
- Ensure there is a resource plan in place for each scheduled intake, including
availability of qualified lecturers, facilities, teaching equipment, stationery, and learning resources.
- Ensure the course structure and curriculum are annually reviewed to meet requirements set by MQA and MoHE.
- Support the Head, School of Business, Communication, Law & Digital Transformation in assessing lecturer suitability for each subject / module to uphold academic standards.
- Manage disruptions to scheduled classes effectively to adhere to the institution’s “No Cancellation” policy.
- Ensure all programme-related documentation, schedules, and academic records are updated and maintained accurately.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all requirements of regulatory bodies such as the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE).
- Ensure the programme is audit-ready for internal and external reviews at any time.
- Participate in and support curriculum reviews, self-assessments, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Provide regular academic reports to Head, School of Business, Communication, Law & Digital Transformation, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback
- Collect and analyse periodic feedback from key stakeholders—students, lecturers, and management—to evaluate programme relevance and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Registry, Admissions, Marketing, Facilities, and Library to support programme needs.
- Serve as a liaison with professional bodies, guest lecturers, and legal industry stakeholders.
Student Support & Experience
- Address student academic inquiries and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Coordinate programme orientations, briefings, and student advising sessions.
- Monitor student progression, identify at-risk students, and recommend academic interventions where necessary.
Sales, Marketing & Promotion
- Assist with Sales and Marketing-related activities, including outbound and inbound marketing events, workshops, student counselling sessions, and programme briefings, as required.
Other Duties
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities when required
