Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Monitor production processes, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in priorities, material availability, or unexpected issues.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Work with the procurement team to minimize excess inventory and reduce waste.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a key liaison between production, procurement, quality control, engineering, and logistics departments.
- Communicate production status, delays, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production goals with overall company objectives.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with production scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
