Title: Production Manager
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee daily operations to achieve output, efficiency, quality, and cost targets
- Develop production schedules, allocate manpower, and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor and report on production performance, including waste, downtime, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Promote energy-saving practices in production areas.
- Manage warehouse operations for raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure accurate stock control, enforce FIFO, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with Sales and Purchasing to support production planning and on-time deliveries.
- Promote 6S housekeeping
- Lead the Maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
- Plan and execute equipment upgrades, modifications, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and legal standards.
- Implement safe work practices, conduct toolbox talks, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action
- Oversee waste management, treatment, recycling, and energy-saving projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer quality standard.
- Implement quality checks, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in quality systems.
- Investigate customer complaints and ensure timely corrective action.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate staff across production, warehouse, and maintenance.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment that builds teamwork, accountability, and future leaders.
- Create, update, and implement SOPs for production, warehouse, maintenance, and safety practice.
- Identify training needs and deliver structured training programs for operators.
- Ensure all operators are competent in SOPs, safety practices, and equipment handling.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in production management or a supervisory role, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, coach staff, and drive accountability.
- Strong safety mindset ("safety first" attitude).
- Strong understanding of production processes, warehouse & inventory management, and quality control.
- Hands-on experience in SOP development and process improvement.
- Knowledge of HSE standards, Lean manufacturing, and continuous im-provement practices
- Capability to liaise effectively with both workshop staff and management, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP/WMS systems is an advantage.
- Language requirement (English, Bahasa Malaysia)
Working hours : 5.5 days per week
Monday to Thursday : 8.30 am to 5.15 pm
Friday : 8.30 am to 4.15 pm
Saturday : 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
