Job Summary:
We are seeking a Power Solution Quality Engineer who can assist product development and validation of server power supply and related products. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist product managers (PM) as needed in product development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strong background and experience for quality improvement process and issue handling/driving ability.
- Plan and coordinate TQM projects.
- Good concept of IQC process, AQL standard and component test method.
- General knowledge of PCBA processes including SMT, DIP, Assembly, Testing, Packing will be an advantage.
- Preferrable candidate who are familiar with IPC-A-610 electronic manufacturing standard and ability to do trouble shooting on PCBA quality issues.
- Requires the ability to analyze production failure data and coordinate with relevant departments to track issues, generate improvement reports, and assess feasibility for corrective actions.
- Ability conduct root cause analysis for defects and quality issues. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Technical Skills:
- Audit Techniques (Internal Audit, Supplier Audit)
- SOP / WI Establishment and Improvement (Standard Operating Procedure / Work Instruction)
- Improvement Tools (e.g., 8D Report, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagram)
- Process Analysis and Optimization (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping)
- Quality Inspection Processes (IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC)
- Sampling Plans and Techniques (e.g., MIL-STD-105E, AQL)
- Common Defect Analysis (e.g., Short Circuit, Cold Solder, Misalignment, Scratches)
- Measurement Tool Operation (e.g., Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge)
- Test Equipment Usage and Maintenance (e.g., LCR Meter, Hi-pot Tester)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Computer or Communication) or any other field is advantage, but candidates with related diploma or certificate with good working experience will also be considered.
- Ideally the candidate should have around 5 years of experience in Electrical, Computer or Communication.
- Preferably has around 3 years of hands-on experience in customer support, customer quality, product quality engineering, or product test engineering.
- Candidate with hands on knowledge / application of quality tools, statistics and problem-solving techniques is a plus.
- Candidate with good experience with microelectronics, surface mount technology is a plus.
