Planner is responsible for overall planning and monitoring phases of the assigned projects. Ultimately, you will be supporting the development of strategic project plans by ensuring the adherence to the required specifications, budget goals and timeline.
- Develop and maintain detailed programme and programme narrative to ensure the project is in compliance with the standards for safety, schedule, cost and quality on sites.
- Support Senior Planner and Planning Manager in integrating subcontractors’ and suppliers’ programmes into the master schedule.
- Monitor schedules and critical activities as well as provide early warnings to the team members.
- Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with the support from project teams.
- Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.
- Participate in project coordination and client meetings to ensure the project plans and changes are communicated and all project phases are well monitored.
- Record and document delay events and any other changes.
- Produce and review weekly and monthly report.
- Record site activity performance including resources deployment, activity production rate and etc.
- Ensure all projects comply with the standard safety, health, and environmental guidelines as established by the authority.
- Ensure all the local authority compliances are captured in the project work implementations, and are tracked in an organized order.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, or other equivalent fields.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in infrastructure or building construction.
- Proven experience as Planner specialising in construction planning and management.
- Good knowledge of design, construction and building systems.
- Well versed in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or relevant planning software.
- Well versed in BIM modeller or relevant software in regards to building and infrastructure design is preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work in Johor.
