Job Summary:
Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a qualified and passionate Secondary Mandarin Teacher to join our Subang Jaya Campus team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality Mandarin instruction based on the KSSM syllabus, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports language proficiency and cultural appreciation among secondary students.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging Mandarin lessons aligned with the KSSM syllabus for secondary students.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in accordance with curriculum requirements.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and effective language practice.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance language acquisition and performance.
Cultural Enrichment
- Integrate Chinese culture, traditions, and literature into lessons to enrich students’ language learning experience and cultural understanding.
Curriculum Development and Collaboration
- Collaborate with Mandarin department colleagues to maintain a consistent and progressive Mandarin curriculum across secondary levels.
- Prepare students for language proficiency exams and other relevant assessments.
School Engagement
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.
Professional Development
- Stay current with best practices in language teaching and incorporate innovative strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification or certification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE).
Experience
- Proven experience teaching Mandarin at the secondary level, with familiarity in the KSSM syllabus.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire secondary students.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with national language curricula and proficiency exam formats.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
