Responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to assigned destinations. Ensures proper loading/unloading, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive lorries to deliver goods to local or outstation destinations.
- Load and unload cargo securely and correctly.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, ensuring roadworthiness.
- Maintain delivery schedules and logs accurately.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Report any vehicle issues or delays immediately.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic upkeep of the lorry.
- Assist in warehouse duties when required.
Requirements:
- Valid GDL (Goods Driving License).
- Proven experience as a lorry driver (1–2 years preferred).
- Good knowledge of delivery routes and road safety rules.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
- Punctual, responsible, and reliable.
