Job Summary
The Legal Executive is responsible for providing legal support and guidance to ensure the company operates in compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves contract review, legal documentation, risk management, and advisory support to various departments. The Legal Executive plays a key role in protecting the company’s legal interests while ensuring business operations align with applicable legal requirements.
Job responsibilities:-
✅ Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including FIDIC contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements.
✅ Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
✅ Provide legal guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and risk assessments.
✅ Ensure compliance with construction laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
✅ Handle contract disputes, claims, and arbitration in accordance with FIDIC and other governing laws.
✅ Assist in litigation matters and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
✅ Identify and mitigate legal risks in construction projects.
✅ Conduct due diligence on contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
✅ Keep updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry.
✅ Ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance with statutory requirements.
✅ Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and senior management to provide legal insights.
✅ Liaise with government authorities, clients, and subcontractors to resolve legal issues.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. Candidates with FIDIC contracts is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience in the construction industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction law, and contract administration.
- Experience in handling claims, disputes, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance in construction.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision.
Certifications (Added Advantage):
- FIDIC Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)
- FIDIC Module 1-4
- Legal Professionals involved in construction law, claims, and dispute resolution.
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
