Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cooking and preparing a variety of dishes as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Prepare food ingredients from raw materials, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Perform basic cooking tasks such as boiling, frying, and grilling under supervision.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and appliances regularly.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.
- Support kitchen staff in organizing and stocking supplies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage but not required.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Flexible, punctual, and willing to learn.
