Job Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the Cher, Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following sanitation protocols, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste.
- Equipment Handling: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food processors.
- Team Support: Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff as needed, including helping with meal assembly and plating during busy periods.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and food safety standards to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment would be an advantage.
- Culinary Skills: Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
