We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for managing key hotel accounts and driving new business development within the Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam areas. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about the hospitality industry and eager to make an impact by delivering hygiene and cleaning solutions that truly matter.
What You’ll Do:
In this client-facing role, you will take ownership of managing and expanding relationships with key hotel accounts, you will collaborate closely with global internal teams and headquarter-level hotel clients to provide customized hygiene and cleaning solutions. Your goal will be to ensure operational compliance, strengthen customer satisfaction, and support the long-term growth and success of both your clients and Diversey.
Some of the Things You’ll Do:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key hotel customers (chains, luxury, and independent hotels), ensuring consistent service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Develop strategic account plans aligned with the customers’ operational goals and Diversey’s growth objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive support to existing accounts, including product training, application troubleshooting, and hygiene audits.
  • Identify white space opportunities for additional product lines (e.g., laundry, housekeeping, kitchen hygiene, floor care) and sustainability solutions.
  • Conduct regular site visits, reviews, and performance assessments with hotel management and relevant departments.
  • Monitor account performance using CRM tools, sales funnel analysis, and forecasting reports.
  • Propose tailored solutions that improve hygiene standards, operational efficiency, and sustainability, aligned with food safety and environmental practices.
  • Drive new account acquisition by leveraging industry networks and insights into the hotel and hospitality market.
What You’ll Bring to Us:
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or key account management experience in hospitality, institutional hygiene, or chemical solutions (hotel segment preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of institutional cleaning products and equipment, including warewashing, laundry, and housekeeping systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English
  • Confident presenter with the ability to influence decision-makers at various organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills with basic P&L understanding.
  • Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and customer service.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia for customer visits and site support as needed.
