Job Description:
- Conduct regular defect inspections for completed and handed-over units.
- Record, track, and update defect lists using defect management systems or manual records.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely rectification of defects according to agreed timelines.
- Verify that all rectification works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor site activities during defect rectification to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare defect rectification reports and progress updates for management.
- Follow up and close out defects within the agreed defect liability period (DLP).
- Perform other tasks related to defect management as assigned by the Project Manager or immediate superior.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree, or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Building, or a related construction field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in building construction (experience in defect management is an added advantage).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of construction finishes, materials, and quality standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with high integrity and commitment to responsibilities.
