Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to support the delivery of infrastructure projects within the banking domain. This role involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of IT infrastructure initiatives such as server upgrades, cloud migration, network/security implementations, end-user computing rollouts, and data center operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior project managers, infrastructure engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with banking security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing end-to-end infrastructure project lifecycles, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Support the implementation of infrastructure initiatives such as server provisioning, virtualization (P2V/V2V), cloud services (AWS, Azure), storage, and backup solutions.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams (network, security, desktop, cloud, database) to track deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, risk/issue logs, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Support infrastructure-related User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), and Security Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Monitor project progress using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Assist with vendor management, procurement processes, and coordination of third-party service providers.
- Help ensure projects align with IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., BNM, MAS, PCI-DSS, SWIFT security controls).
- Prepare dashboards, presentations, and weekly status updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies or Waterfall project meetings to provide updates and track assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in IT project coordination, infrastructure support, or technology implementation (banking/financial services preferred).
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components: servers, networks, firewalls, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with infrastructure project lifecycles (desktop rollout, data center migration, server refresh, cloud adoption).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and exposure to project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow).
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Preferred Certifications (optional, but an advantage):
- CompTIA Project+ or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
- ITIL Foundation
- Cloud Fundamentals (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals)
- Basic Networking/Infrastructure certification (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)

Pay: RM3,862.43 - RM5,675.71 per month
