Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Project Management Analyst to support the delivery of IT and digital transformation initiatives within the banking domain. The role involves assisting project managers in planning, tracking, and reporting project activities, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and supporting the execution of technology-driven projects such as system upgrades, regulatory implementations, and digital banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects across retail, corporate, and digital banking functions.
- Support project documentation including project charters, timelines, status reports, and risk/issue logs.
- Track project deliverables, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring timely updates in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence).
- Coordinate with business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured and deliverables are aligned with banking standards.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation, execution, and defect tracking for banking applications.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with IT governance, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM, AML/KYC).
- Prepare weekly/monthly project dashboards and presentations for management reporting.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for Agile ceremonies or Waterfall project meetings.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in project management practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT project coordination, PMO support, or business analysis (banking/financial services exposure preferred).
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with banking operations, systems, or regulatory environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and exposure to project tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow).
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Preferred Certifications (optional, but an advantage):
- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
- Agile Fundamentals / Scrum Foundation
- ITIL Foundation
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
