The Opportunity
Are you an accounting student eager to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios? We are offering an immersive internship designed to provide you with foundational experience in core accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to crucial areas like E-Invoicing, SST, and the full accounting cycle within a dynamic commercial environment.
Key Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
Under the mentorship of our experienced accounts team, you will assist with:
- E-Invoice Support: Gain hands-on experience with the new E-Invoice system by assisting in data entry, validation, and documentation.
- SST Assistance: Help in the preparation and compilation of documents for monthly Sales and Service Tax (SST) submissions.
- Daily Accounting Tasks: Support the accounts team with processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
- Documentation & Filing: Learn the importance of organized financial record-keeping by maintaining and organizing accounting vouchers, invoices, and other supporting documents.
- Reconciliation: Assist in preparing basic bank and statement reconciliations.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Help with data entry into our accounting software (AutoCount) and support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- General Administrative Support: Provide support to the finance department with other ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Who We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A strong interest in building a career in accounting, audit, or taxation.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn about E-Invoice and SST regulations.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (familiarity with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is a plus).
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
