- Inspect site activities including earthworks, concrete works, drainage, pipelines, and structural components.
- Ensure civil construction works comply with approved drawings, standards, and contract specifications.
- Monitor site safety, environmental compliance, and construction quality.
- Record daily site activities and issue site instructions where necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, site photos, and material records.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities on technical and site matters.
- Participate in technical/site meetings and provide input on construction issues.
- Monitor contractor’s progress and assist in verifying work done for claims and valuations.
- Report directly to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Registered Inspector of Works (IOW) with BEM is mandatory.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision
- Familiarity with local regulations, JKR, and CIDB requirements.
- Good understanding of quality assurance, construction techniques, and safety standards.
- Able to work independently with strong observation and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (basic), and site documentation.
