Job Summary
Experienced Infrastructure Project Manager (Disaster Recovery) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity. This role will be responsible for overseeing DR strategy implementation, coordinating across technical teams, ensuring system resiliency, and minimizing downtime during outages or disasters.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and manage infrastructure projects from initiation through delivery, with a strong emphasis on disaster recovery and high availability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans in alignment with enterprise risk management strategies.
- Coordinate regular DR testing and simulations; evaluate results and implement necessary improvements.
- Ensure that DR capabilities meet or exceed Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., infrastructure, networking, security, application, and operations teams) to implement DR initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and deliverables using standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Monitor and report project progress to leadership, providing transparency on key risks and issues.
- Ensure documentation is created and maintained, including DR runbooks, escalation paths, and post-mortem reviews.
- Stay updated on best practices, regulations, and technologies related to IT disaster recovery and infrastructure management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Project Management.
- 5+ years of direct experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Proven experience with large-scale DR testing and system recovery coordination.
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid environments, virtualization, storage, and data center operations.
- Strong understanding of RTO/RPO metrics and DR compliance standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34).
- PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications preferred.
