Altera is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure and DevOps Lab Manager to lead the management and optimization of our lab environments. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation, scalability, and security of our lab infrastructure, while driving innovation and efficiency through advanced DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lab management, infrastructure development, and team leadership.
Candidate needs to have deep experience in handling the Compute Infrastructure related activities, design, develop, and analyze overall architecture to determine that hardware, software and data architecture solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs. As well as lead the ongoing development and maintenance of high availability production and non-production work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of lab environments to support engineering and research activities.
Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance lab infrastructure capabilities and align with organizational goals.
Implement and optimize DevOps practices to streamline lab operations and improve productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compatibility of lab systems with broader infrastructure.
Monitor and troubleshoot lab systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in lab environments.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
10 years of experience in infra and DevOps, software development, with strong focus on HPC farm management, workload management platform, network infrastructure and distributed systems.
Excellent leadership skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving successful software or HPC farm-related initiatives.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically in complex and fast paced environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
