Duties and Key Responsibilities
Creates or helps create glossaries and style guides following pre-defined guidelines from the client.
Creates or helps create characterization documents Carries out translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
Carries out revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology. All work is carried out meeting the outlined deadlines and industry standard productivity figures.
Provides linguistic feedback for work carried out externally.
Works as part of a larger team of translators or revisers.
Requirements
Must have at least one year experience in translation industry - English to Thai (video games specific experience is an advantage)
Experience in any of the following areas is essential: creative text, fiction book or magazine translations, translating TV/media series/subtitling, and localization quality control.
Ideally with experience working with MemoQ, and TMS software (Plunet/XTRF).
Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrates proactivity.
Good organization and problem-solving skills.
Keeps a “can do” attitude and positive thinking
