Job Summary:
The Florist is responsible for arranging flower orders from customers. This role requires a strong passion for flowers, artistic flair, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flower Order Processing: Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare flower arrangements in accordance to specifications, inciting attention to detail and high-quality standards.
- Flower Maintenance: Ensure proper care and maintenance of flowers, including conditioning, trimming stems, and handling with care. Follow established protocols to maximise the longevity and beauty of the floral arrangements.
- Event Setup and Dismantling: Assist with event set-up, including arranging and positioning floral displays at event venues. Safely transport floral arrangements to the event location, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Floral Design: Opportunity to create stunning and unique floral arrangements for various events and occasions, including weddings, corporate functions, and everyday floral orders.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated with current floral design trends and work with the innovation team to prototype and create stunning products.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional Florist or Floral Designer is preferred.
- Strong artistic and creative skills with an eye for design and color coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of various flowers, foliage, and floral design techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift/move heavy floral arrangements, and work in a hands-on capacity.
- Flexibility to work during peak floral seasons, weekends, and holidays as needed.
