Main responsibilities:
- Safety operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipments as per standards.
- Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of laboratory equipments, and specialize into laboratory equipment troubleshooting & improvement.
- Initiate and lead improvement activities to optimize laboratory environment and equipment performance.
- Perform analysis in compliance with laboratory standards & report reliable quality data in timely way.
- Analyse quality data and generate improvement actions.
. Effective implementation of quality systems (ISO 9001, HACCP, Food Safety, LSS, HOC) at laboratory.
- Create value-added activities to existing quality systems (ISO 9001, Food safety (FSSC22000 + HACCP), Lab Star System (adapting from ISO17025 requirements), Hygienic Orderliness Cleanliness program) via auditing programme.
Critical experiences and competencies:
DEGREE HOLDER in Food Science / Food Technologgy / Chemistry / Microbiology/ Science-related background
- Good understanding in ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 17025, preferable at internal auditor level.
- Skillful in laboratory analytical method, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Good knowledge in microbiology and hygiene standards.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
- Clear report writing skill
- Resourceful and results oriented with good follow-through work habits
- Able to work independently as well as a team
