Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional support to our dentists and patients. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently under pressure and demonstrate a strong commitment to precision and patient care. While prior experience is a plus, we are open to training enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the dental field.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
- Greet and seat patients, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, root canals, cleanings).
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Handle phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting dentists and other clinic staff.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to work under stress: Comfortable and effective in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Detail-oriented: Possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Able to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency: Familiarity with dental software (preferred but not required) and general office applications.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a 6-day week schedule, with a consistent weekday off.
- Prior dental assisting experience is a plus but not compulsory. We are committed to providing comprehensive training for dedicated individuals.
