As a Credit & Risk Officer, candidate’s role is to support the Head of Credit & Risk to ensure the platform's funding activities are conducted with sound credit risk management practices. Responsible for evaluating issuer’s creditworthiness, monitoring issuers’ notes portfolios, and managing collections activities. Focus will be on assessing credit risk, optimizing notes issuance performance, and maximizing collections efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment:
- Assist the Head of Credit & Risk to develop and implement credit risk management strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements by Securities Commission and other relevant authorities.
- Prepare reports to support Head of Credit & Risk to analyze credit data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring effective risk mitigation measures are in place.
- Conduct due diligence and verification processes to validate borrower information.
- Identify potential credit risks and propose risk mitigation strategies.
Issuers’ Notes Portfolio Monitoring:
- Monitor issuers’ notes portfolios to identify early signs of credit deterioration or delinquencies.
- Conduct regular reviews of notes performance, identify trends, and perform portfolio analysis.
- Work closely with collections teams to identify high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with credit risk team to develop and implement strategies to manage portfolio risks effectively.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines related to credit risk and collections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with compliance and external legal partner to interpret regulations and implement necessary controls and procedures.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to extract insights and trends related to credit risk and collections.
- Prepare regular reports on credit risk metrics, portfolio performance, and collections activities.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and strategies to optimize credit risk and collections outcomes.
- Analyze credit data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring effective risk mitigation measures are in place.
Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales teams and customer service, to gather necessary information and support credit risk and collections activities.
- Build relationships with external partners, such as credit bureaus and collection agencies, to enhance collection efforts.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field.
- Alternatively, proven minimum 3 years of experience and relevant skills in credit risk assessment and collections within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies, underwriting practices, and collections strategies.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the peer-to-peer lending industry are a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with borrowers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Familiarity with credit risk and collections software and systems is advantageous.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
Working Days: Mon – Friday
Working Hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
