JOB PURPOSE
The Control Room Operator operates and monitor security control room systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control, ensuring a prompt and appropriate response to incidents. Maintain accurate records and support the overall security operations of the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring & Surveillance
· Operate CCTV, alarm, and access control systems effectively.
· Monitor live feeds for suspicious activities, safety hazards, or unauthorised access.
· Ensure all cameras and security equipment are functioning properly and report faults immediately.
Incident Response & Reporting
· Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents, notifying the Security Supervisor or Manager.
· Provide real-time updates to on-ground security personnel.
· Record all incidents, observations, and actions in the occurrence log.
Communication & Coordination
· Maintain clear communication with security teams, emergency services, and management during incidents.
· Relay instructions to security officers based on control room observations.
Compliance & Record Keeping
· Follow all security protocols, policies, and procedures for monitoring and incident escalation.
· Maintain confidentiality of security footage and sensitive information.
· Keep accurate logs of system checks, shift activities, and incident responses.
Safety & Emergency Support
· Assist in coordinating emergency responses, evacuations, and drills.
· Monitor fire alarm systems and coordinate with safety officers when needed.
KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma in related field preferred.
· Prior experience in a control room or security monitoring role is an advantage.
· Basic computer skills and knowledge of surveillance systems.
· Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
· Strong attention to detail and alertness.
· Good communication skills and ability to multitask.
· Proficiency in operating CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
· Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
