Job Title: Company Driver
Department: Operations / Admin
Reports To: Operations & HR Manager
Job Purpose:
To provide safe, punctual, and reliable transportation services for company personnel, goods, and guests, including operating light trucks (approximately 3-ton, manual transmission) for deliveries to project sites and outstation assignments as required.
Key Responsibilities:
General Driving Duties
Transport company personnel, including directors, managers, staff, and guests as assigned.
Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off for meetings, site visits, or events.
Comply with all road safety and traffic regulations at all times.
Light Truck Operation
Operate company’s light truck (manual, ~3-ton capacity) to deliver materials, tools, and goods to various project sites.
Load and unload goods securely, ensuring no damage during transportation.
Conduct pre-departure and post-delivery checks to ensure safe operations.
Outstation Support
Willing to travel outstation for deliveries or accompany management on business trips as required.
Ensure proper documentation and delivery notes are signed and returned.
Vehicle Maintenance
Conduct regular vehicle checks (engine oil, brake fluid, tires, lights, etc.) and report any defects immediately.
Ensure vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior) and overall good condition.
Arrange for scheduled maintenance and repair services with approval.
Log & Compliance
Maintain accurate logbooks of daily trips, mileage, petrol usage, and destinations.
Ensure delivery orders or transport forms are signed and filed correctly.
Adhere to company policies regarding vehicle use, security, and privacy.
Other Duties
Assist in admin or operations tasks when not on transport duty.
Perform other reasonable assignments as directed by the Management.
Requirements:
License: Valid GDL license & competent in driving manual-transmission trucks (3-ton).
Experience: Minimum 2 years as a company or personal driver; experience with logistics or site deliveries is a plus.
Skills:
Good knowledge of road routes (especially within Johor and West Malaysia).
Responsible, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
Able to communicate in basic English or Bahasa Malaysia.
Willingness to travel outstation and work flexible hours when necessary.
