Job Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for the general cleanliness, upkeep, and hygiene of the staff accommodation house. This includes maintaining shared living areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, laundry and outdoor spaces to ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all shared areas including bathrooms, kitchens, and common living spaces
- Laundry services
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and appliances
- Empty trash bins and dispose of garbage properly
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with toilet paper, soap, and other essentials
- Clean windows and glass doors as needed
- Assist in organizing and tidying up storage areas and pantries
- Report any maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, etc.) to the FM
- Maintain basic outdoor cleanliness (porch, walkways, trash area)
- Monitor and refill cleaning supplies
- Ensure all cleaning duties are done with minimal disruption to residents
- Manage cleaning inventory stock
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic cleaning practices and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Trustworthy, respectful of residents’ privacy and personal belongings
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Able to follow cleaning schedules and tasks consistently
Working Conditions:
- Work performed within a residential environment
- May require flexibility in working hours depending on needs (e.g., weekends or evenings)
- Occasional lifting of items up to 10KG
- Exposure to cleaning agents and household chemicals
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to RM1,770.00 per month
