Responsibilities
- Measure and combine ingredients to create doughs, batters, and fillings according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, mixers, and other equipment to bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Create and test new recipes for baked goods, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor the baking process to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- Decorate and finish baked goods, including applying glazes, icings, and other toppings.
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies, order ingredients, and ensure proper storage.
- Keep baking equipment and work areas clean and organized, following sanitation guidelines.
- Plan and manage baking schedules to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
- Manage costs by minimizing waste, using ingredients efficiently, and adhering to budget constraints.
- Work with other kitchen staff and bakers to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
- Follow health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent.
- Preferably 1-2 years of relevant working experience in baking preparation and assembly.
- Good command of verbal and written English and Malay languages, ability to speak additional languages will be an added advantage.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
- Able to work as a team.
- Must be willing to work on shifts (retail hours) / weekends and public holidays.
- Candidate must be able to work at Ampang.
- Open for Malaysian citizen only.
