We are seeking an Associate Director, Client Operations, Fund Administration to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage client operations within our fund administration department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
- Oversee the delivery of fund administration services to clients, focusing on private debt and other alternative investment funds
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing operational issues and requests
- Review and approve Net Asset Value calculations and associated reporting
- Coordinate investor capital activities, annual financial audits, and other statutory reporting
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of fund documentation and apply terms to financial reporting and allocations
- Stay current with accounting principles and develop solutions for complex issues
- Liaise with banks, auditors, brokers, and custodians to ensure smooth service delivery and timely completion of deliverables
- Participate in new fund onboarding processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency
- Manage work allocation and team utilization, ensuring appropriate cross-training and coverage
- Contribute to company and client initiatives beyond regular responsibilities
- Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional accounting qualification preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or fund administration, with a focus on alternative investments
- Proven track record in team leadership and management
- In-depth understanding of the fund industry, with knowledge of private credit or loan products as an advantage
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP
- Experience with fund accounting software such as Investran and Yardi
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace new technologies for efficient solutions
