- Assist Head Rewards & Performance in the implementation and management of total rewards philosophy, methodology, programs and guidelines for assigned line of business, to help attract and retain highly talented employees and encourage excellence in performance.
- Maintains strategic focus on building strong relationships with key customers, understanding the business and delivering quality services and products that continue to evolve and support key business needs.
- Consult with Country Head of HR, HR Business Partners/Consultants and business leaders on the alignment of total reward programs with business strategies and issues of pay
- Manage global salary survey selection and appropriate use of market data - drive well managed local benchmarking efforts, including strategy and methodology, survey selection, special studies, market intelligence, etc
- Keeps abreast of compensation and total rewards global trends
- Manage regional annual rewards cycles for CIMB Group - including merit, bonus, LTI and promotion pay-outs – provide guidelines and prepare communication materials for Group and Country
- Manage deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing total reward programs and model potential impact of alternatives
- Develops compensation and benefits policies to meet business strategies.
- Provides guidance on corporate wide policy and represents international needs to ensure policies are aligned and appropriate
- Lead key horizontal compensation projects, key initiatives and processes globally across the Rewards and HR teams Facilitates special projects such as pay-for-performance analysis, HR dashboards, complex statistical analyses, data modeling, and gathering and analysis of global market data and trends
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on compensation and benefits issues and processes
- Provide continuous support to HR Business Partners in Malaysia and across the Group; only escalate up when policy matters arise
- Drive implementation and communication to employees on new or revised compensation and benefits programs in the Group
- Provide thought leadership on compensation and related topics both within the Rewards community and internal customers
- Develop global governance model to enable well managed programs that are risk balanced
- Ensure compensation and benefits standards comply with company policies and/or other regulations or legislation
- Ensure compliance to remuneration guidelines and annual disclosures required under UK PRA and HKMA
- Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
- Coach and assist development of new team members, identifying training needs and also motivate/counsel team members to drive performance and improve their skills/competencies
- Identifies, allocates and organises resource requirements for the department, including people development.
- Develops, builds and leads an effective and cohesive regional team that operates seamlessly across borders
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, CIMB policies & procedures, guidelines and the Department’s policies and procedures regionally
- To perform any other responsibilities / task as assigned by the management from time to time.
