We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant ,Legal & Trust Management in the Trust Operations Support. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Legal and Trust Management, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Trust Operations Support and its’ growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Trust Relationship Managers in delivering a full suite of trust and corporate services to clients
- Provide prompt, excellent and professional trust and company administration services
- Ensure that clients’ data base is kept up to date along with clients’ records and accuracy of data being captured in the appropriate system
- Conduct administrative reviews on existing trust and company structures.
- Prepare and draft Trust-related documents
- Conduct name screening of trust related parties
- Ensure regulatory filings are conducted on a timely basis
- Participate in transaction monitoring and review trust accounts
- Comply with the Group’s internal control and audit standards
- Participate in ad hoc projects or matters that are ancillary to trust administration, including but not limited to invoicing and credit control.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Law and/or Certificate in Legal Practice (or equivalent)
- Degree in related discipline or professional qualification would be considered subject to fulfilment of other key requirements
- STEP qualification is an added advantage
- Strong written and spoken English level
- Chinese proficiency is an added advantage
- Develop and maintain adequate trust knowledge to deliver full suite of trust and corporate services to clients
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of trust and corporate structures
- Detail oriented able to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Develop interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic; professional and approachable
- Able to multitask and is meticulous
- Inquisitive and self-motivated
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory and compliance regime
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
